Entering the Shine Photography Awards was a first for me. The international photo competition is for maternity, newborn, child & family and birth photography.
It is a relatively new international competition. Submissions are “judged by an independent international jury of professional photographers with the focus on creative idea, technical skills and outstanding image effect”. Whether new or not, the competition for awards is stiff. Birth is still in it’s infancy. However; the artists out there are top notch and I love seeing all the winners♥ I am proud to have received 2 silver placements and one bronze this year (so far!). I have a couple births coming up next month (July) and I look forward to the film they produce.
